Once upon a time, atop a glorious mountain, lay a pretty cottage in the hills of the Enhaut country, eight kilometers only from the beautiful and famous Gstaad ski resort, in the Bern highlands. Winter and summer, the numerous sports and cultural activities offered by this wonderful region draw visitors seeking to breath in the wealth of fresh air in these well-preserved spaces. Facing the cottage, the rocky peak of the Videmanette overlooks the valley and keeps a watchful eye on the castle and the church in the peaceful village of Rougemont.

The calm atmosphere of the region is reflected in the warmth and comfort of the cottage, which easily accomodates eight persons. After sundown, when the fire crackles joyfully in the fireplace, visitors feel the need to cuddle up amidst the whitewook beams and warm decoration. Very often, visitors leave their skis or luge "behind" in the garret until the following year.

In the kitchen, bouquets of flowers and dried herbs, small paintings and copper utensils fill one with the desire to cook sumptuous meals and eat a hearty breakfast before trekking in the fresh mountain air. Between the floors that lead to the bedrooms, one can see a collection of antique snowshoes and a pair of old wooden skis that bring back old memories of this winter sport, which has become so popular, especially in this wonderful and mountainous region.
